Vinayak Chaturthi Remedies – In Hindu tradition, Vinayak Chaturthi holds great significance. It is observed every month on the Shukla Paksha Chaturthi and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, revered as the remover of obstacles and the first deity to be worshipped.
This month, Vinayak Chaturthi will be observed on 24 November, and scriptures say that performing specific diya rituals on this night can help eliminate hurdles and attract prosperity.
On this sacred day, devotees worship Lord Ganesha with complete devotion, and specific nighttime diya remedies are believed to bring powerful results.
Miraculous Diya Remedies
Lighting a ghee diya is considered especially auspicious. After the puja or before going to bed, take an earthen lamp and fill it with pure cow ghee. Add four cloves to it and light the diya. Doing so is said to remove poverty from the home and open new paths for financial growth. While lighting the diya, offer 21 blades of durva grass at Lord Ganesha’s feet and chant the mantra “Om Gan Ganapataye Namah.”
Another traditional remedy suggests lighting a flour diya under a Peepal tree on the night of Vinayak Chaturthi. Make a diya from wheat flour, fill it with mustard or sesame oil, and place it beneath the tree. This practice is believed to reduce the ill effects of Shani and Rahu. It also helps those suffering from long-term illnesses or debts.
Lighting a two-faced diya at the main entrance is also considered beneficial. Place it inside the main door facing inward. It is believed that this brings positive energy into the home and drives away negative influences.
For those facing constant delays or obstacles in essential tasks, lighting an unbroken ghee diya in front of Lord Ganesha at the start of the puja is said to bring His divine blessings. This helps remove barriers and ensures smooth completion of pending work.
Important Things to Remember
- Always place diyas in a clean and pure area.
- Before and after lighting the diya, focus your mind on Lord Ganesha and express your wishes.
- Tulsi should not be used in Ganesha puja, as it is traditionally not offered to Him.
