Junior Electrical Engineer Sanjeev Kumar explained that under this scheme, consumers can achieve significant long-term savings by installing solar systems on their rooftops. He said that this option is extremely beneficial for households with high electricity consumption. Solar panels not only reduce electricity bills but also provide energy independence to the consumer.
Solar Capacity and Benefits
According to Assistant Electrical Engineer Sanjay Kumar, if a family installs a 3-kilowatt solar panel, it can benefit from approximately 300 units of electricity per month. Based on this, the consumer can achieve direct savings of approximately 15,000 rupees per year.
