New Delhi: Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. Twenty-six ministers were also sworn in as part of his cabinet. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha were also appointed Deputy Chief Ministers in the new Bihar government. The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to both these leaders. Fourteen ministers from the BJP’s quota and seven from the JDU’s quota took the oath of office and secrecy.
One minister each from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha were sworn in. The portfolio allocation has not yet been finalised. It is expected that the portfolios will be distributed to the ministers soon. Gandhi Maidan was illuminated in saffron for the swearing-in ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, along with the Chief Ministers of several NDA states, attended the event, making it historic.
What will Nitish Kumar’s cabinet look like?
The Bihar government’s cabinet will be quite surprising this time. However, the JDU has not made any major changes to its ministers. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha have also been sworn in as ministers. Lesy Singh, Nitin Naveen, Madan Sahni, Ramkripal Yadav, and Sunil Kumar have also been sworn in. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Dr Dilip Jaiswal, and Mangal Pandey were sworn in together.
Jama Khan, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Rama Nishad, Arun Shankar Prasad, and Madan Sahni have been sworn in as ministers. Jama Khan is a JDU MLA. Sanjay Singh Tiger and Rama Nishad are ministers from the BJP quota.
Nitish Kumar becomes Chief Minister for the tenth time

Nitish Kumar became Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time, becoming the first leader from Bihar to achieve this feat. The packed crowd and the gathering of NDA leaders on stage also offered some indications of future political developments. The prominent NDA leaders, appearing on stage, signalled to the opposition that defeating them in the elections is not easy right now.
