Hasina, the Awami League leader showed a total of 4 crore 34 lakh in movable and immovable properties. She had 28,500 in cash, around 2 crore 39 lakh in deposits in banks and financial institutions, and additional savings of 25 lakh along with a fixed deposit of 55 lakh.

Sheikh Hasina was the longest-serving Prime Minister in Bangladesh. As holding that record she owns a huge number of wealth. She completed her fourth term as Prime Minister as a candidate of the Bangladesh Awami League. She won 288 out of 300 parliamentary seats in the last election. She said this term could be her last.

Sheikh Hasina’s affidavit to the Bangladesh Election Commission indicates that she has total assets valued at ₹43.6 million (approximately $538,000). Sheikh Hasina had an income of ₹10.7 million in 2022 – income from agriculture valued was included. This amount of income reflects an increase over the amount reported in 2018. Her income tax return reflects a stated taxable income of approximately ₹19.1 million (approximately $240,000). Sheikh Hasina was able to invest ₹7.5 million of her income in fixed deposits and bonds, accruing substantial property.

Sheikh Hasina also owns approximately 6 acres of agricultural land. Her income is also derived from fish farming. She owns a car, which she reports she received as a gift. Like other members of the political elite, her income and assets reflect significant wealth.
