How many positions will be recruited?

Under this recruitment drive, positions have been advertised at two levels.

  • Primary School Teacher (Level 1, Classes 1 to 5): 5,000 posts
  • Upper Primary School Teacher (Level 2, Classes 6 to 8): 2,123 posts

In total, 7,123 teachers will be appointed in various districts across the state. This recruitment is being conducted under both the General and Sanskrit Education departments.

Tentative Exam Date

According to information provided by the Board, the offline (OMR-based) examination for this recruitment will be held between January 17, 2026, and January 21, 2026, at various examination centres across the state.

Educational Qualification

For Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5):

Candidates must have a Higher Secondary or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks. Additionally, they must have passed a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC) and REET (Level 1).

For Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8):

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and a two-year diploma in elementary education or a B.Ed. Degree. Qualification in a relevant subject (Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies) is also required.

Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and at least 40 years old. Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per the rules.

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹400
