In the international market, WTI crude oil prices have risen by $0.28, or 0.47 per cent, to $59.71 per barrel. Brent crude prices have risen by $0.26, or 0.41 per cent, to $6.64 per barrel. On Friday morning, petrol in Noida, adjacent to Delhi, was seen trending at ₹94.87 per litre, down by 25 paise. Here, diesel prices fell by 28 paise to ₹88.01 per litre. In Bengaluru, petrol prices fell by 6 paise to ₹102.92 per litre. Diesel prices fell by 5 paise to ₹90.09 per litre.
In Bhubaneswar, petrol prices fell by 16 paise to ₹101.19 per litre. Diesel also fell by 16 paise to ₹92.76 per litre. In Patna, petrol prices fell by 26 paise to ₹105.34 per litre. Diesel prices fell by 24 paise to ₹91.59 per litre. Meanwhile, in Agra, petrol prices fell by 15 paise to ₹94.50. Diesel prices here fell by 16 paise to ₹87.57 per litre.

Petrol became costlier by 6 paise in Gurugram, Haryana, adjoining Delhi. Petrol prices rose by 5 paise to ₹95.36 per litre. Diesel prices rose by 5 paise to ₹87.82 per litre. In Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, petrol prices rose by 41 paise to ₹94.92 per litre.
Diesel prices rose by 48 paise to ₹88.07 per litre. Meanwhile, in Prayagraj, petrol prices rose by 49 paise to ₹95.15 per litre. Diesel prices rose by 55 paise to ₹88.34 per litre.
No major change in a long time
Even though crude oil prices fluctuate in the global market, this has not affected the prices of petrol and diesel. Petrol and diesel prices in India have remained unchanged. Excise duty has increased, but this has not affected the common man’s pockets.
