What is the National Scholarship Scheme?

The objective of the ‘National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies’ scheme is to promote higher education in the country. Under this scheme, the UGC provides financial assistance to 10,000 meritorious students every year, enabling them to complete their chosen postgraduate course without financial constraints.

This scholarship is provided to students for 10 months at the rate of ₹15,000 per month, which translates to a total assistance of ₹1.5 lakh per year.

NSP Scholarship 2025 Merit List: How many students received a place?

A total of 10,000 students are included in this interim merit list released by the UGC. Of these, 5,000 students are from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and 5,000 are from the Faculty of Science.

The list contains each student’s name, application ID, institution name, and course details.

NSP Scholarship 2025: Eligibility Criteria
