According to legend, Raman Reti is located near Gokul, where Lord Krishna played with his friends every day during his childhood. He grazed cows and had fun here. It is said that once, it was here that Mother Yashoda saw Lord Krishna and Balarama rolling in the sand. Mother Yashoda asked, “Son, why are you playing in the sand?” Lord Krishna smiled and replied, “Mother, this is not ordinary sand; it is filled with love and devotion.”
This is why the place where Lord Krishna played is still called Raman Reti. This is the same sand where Lord Krishna himself performed his divine acts and played games.
Why is Raman Reti so special?
