Uttar Pradesh is set to launch the biggest recruitment of teachers in recent years. With thousands of posts lying vacant in secondary schools, UP TGT PGT Recruitment 2025 offers a chance for thousands of budding teachers and school leaders to join the education system of the state.
UP TGT PGT Vacancy Details
- As many as 23,000 posts are likely to be filled in the entire state.
- It caters to the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers, Post Graduate Teachers, and Principals.
- A total of 4,512 aided secondary schools will participate in the recruitment.
- Currently, 22,201 vacancies have been confirmed from 71 districts, while the remaining four districts are likely to push that number over 23,000.
- Except Ghazipur, the vacancy details have been sent to the Directorate of Education from all the districts.
UP TGT PGT Recruitment Process and Updates
UP TGT PGT Recruitment 2025 will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission. Directorate of Education will upload all the available vacancies on the online portal of the Commission once that is finalized. The recruitment data is to be verified and certified by each District Inspector of Schools before the submission.
The notification for direct recruitment will include posts vacant up to March 31, 2026. Once approved, online applications will be invited from candidates to register, upload documents, and submit their district preferences.
Policy and Administrative Updates
The state government has issued orders to cancel such affiliations, if unauthorized, and revert the employees to their previous postings, an attempt towards streamlining the administration and bringing in fairness in recruitment.
While this happens, thousands of teachers appointed on a B.Ed. basis in primary schools face ongoing challenges. The Supreme Court had ordered them to undergo a six-month bridge course through NIOS, which is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. Failing to do so in a year may invalidate their appointments.
