KIITEE 2026 Registration Starts Soon. The registration process for the KIITEE 2026 exam, conducted by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), is set to begin soon. Notably, the KIITEE exam is completely free, meaning candidates will not have to pay any application or exam fees.

When will the application process begin?

KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to B.Tech, B.Tech+M.Tech (Biotechnology), M.C.A., M.Sc., B.A., B.B.A., and several other courses. However, this examination does not apply to MBBS, BDS, PG Medical, and Dental courses.

The application process is expected to begin in the last week of October or early November 2025. The examination will be conducted in three phases, giving students the option to choose a date convenient to them.

No Application Fee

The biggest highlight of KIITEE is that there is no application or examination fee. Students can appear for the examination by simply filling out a registration form.

This initiative brings relief to students who are looking for an alternative to other examinations like JEE Main. Candidates who qualify for KIITEE are offered direct admission to various courses offered by Kalinga Institute.

Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Apply

  • Candidates should carefully review the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. As of last year, the eligibility criteria for B.Tech and B.Tech + M.Tech (Biotechnology) courses were as follows:
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent within the last two years or are appearing for the exam this year.
  • The study must be regular and full-time.
  • A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is required.
  • For Biotechnology courses, a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology is required.
  • Candidates must have been born on or after July 1, 2004.

However, the final eligibility criteria for 2026 will be released in the official notification.

KIIT Ranking and Reputation

According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, KIIT University is ranked 27th overall, 36th in engineering, and 43rd in the list of research institutes.
