Indian Railways: If you have booked tickets, this will be a big blow for passengers. Indian Railways has decided to cancel 43 trains. All these decisions have been made due to the possibility of Cyclone Montha. Cyclone Montha is rapidly advancing, which is expected to cause devastation.

However, administrative preparations have been made to avoid any damage from Cyclone Montha. Its impact is expected to affect the railways, with Andhra Pradesh being the most affected. The East Coast Railway has cancelled trains running through coastal Andhra Pradesh. The Railways stated that these trains have been cancelled, keeping in mind the safety of passengers. If passengers had pre-booked tickets, they can cancel them by visiting the official website.

The Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express (train number 18515), which was scheduled to depart on Monday, has been cancelled. The Kirandul Express-Visakhapatnam (18516) scheduled to depart on Tuesday has also been cancelled.

The Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger (58501) and the Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger (58502) have been cancelled.

East Coast Railway has also cancelled the Visakhapatnam-Koraput Passenger (58538) and Visakhapatnam-Koraput Express (18512) and their respective trains.

The cancelled trains include the Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam MEMU (67285) and its respective train, the Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Port Express (17268) and its respective train, and the Visakhapatnam-Tirupati (08583) and its respective train.

The Visakhapatnam-Guntur Double Decker (22875), Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Double Decker (22707), and Visakhapatnam-Brahmapur (18526) trains, along with their respective pairs, have also been cancelled.

Full ticket refunds will be available.

If you booked tickets to travel on these trains, don’t worry. The Railways will refund your ticket in full. This means the entire amount will be transferred to your account online.

If the ticket was purchased from a counter, the passenger will need to visit the railway counter within three days, where the full refund will be processed. Therefore, there’s no need to worry. Refunds for online ticket bookings can take three to four days, sometimes even seven to eight days.
