New Delhi: The festival of Diwali is being celebrated with great pomp in Shri Ramnagari. A wonderful display of faith is visible throughout the city. The miraculous spectacle of the festival of lights on Sunday captured everyone’s attention. Today marked the 9th edition of the festival of lights in Ayodhya. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2017.

In the first edition of the festival, 1.71 lakh diyas were lit. This time, the number has increased to over 2.6 million. All 56 ghats on the banks of the Saryu River, including Ram’s ghat, were bathed in the light of diyas, as if the twinkling light of the stars had descended. Devotees of Shri Ram were also filled with joy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the divine event.

Two major records were set this time.

Two records were set this time during the Deep Prajalit festival in Shri Ramnagari Ayodhya that will be remembered forever. The first record was the lighting of 26,70,215 lakh lamps. The second was the simultaneous Maha Aarti of Mother Saryu by 2128 priests. The Guinness Book of World Records team was present in Ayodhya to record this record. Extensive preparations have also been made at the administrative level.

State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also received the certificate for the Guinness World Records. Earlier, CM Yogi Adityanath arrived in Ayodhya. During this, CM Yogi welcomed the idols of Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman from a helicopter in the form of Pushpak Viman at the Ramkatha Park helipad. There, along with the worship of Ram and Janaki, Bharat Milap also took place. CM Yogi performed the coronation of Shri Ram on the stage of Ramkatha Park.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed Aarti of Mother Saryu at Ram Ki Paadi during the Ayodhya Deepotsav. As soon as the Aarti began, it felt as if Lord Shri Ram had descended in his true form. Everyone was immersed in devotion.
