October 18. Cooperation and Civil Aviation Minister Gautam Kumar Dak stated that with the launch of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2019 , a historic step was taken toward providing direct financial assistance to the country’s small and marginal farmers. On August 2nd of this year, Prime Minister Modi distributed ₹20,500 crore to 97 million farmers as the 20th installment. Minister Gautam Kumar Dak stated that the state government has given a gift to farmers in Rajasthan by implementing the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on June 30, 2024.

The annual assistance provided under this scheme has been increased from ₹6,000 to ₹8,000. It has been announced that this will be further increased to ₹9,000 per year in the financial year 2025-26. Minister Gautam Kumar Dak stated that through a joint initiative between the central and state governments,

Rajasthan farmers will now receive financial assistance of ₹9,000 per year directly into their bank accounts through a DBT system with complete transparency. This step will not only increase farmers’ incomes but also strengthen the rural economy.
