French automaker Citroen has launched its new SUV, the Aircross X, in India, starting at ₹9.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is part of the company’s popular “X” series, which already includes models like the Basalt X and C3X. The company has designed this new SUV keeping in mind the needs of Indian customers, offering a perfect blend of style, comfort, and technology.

Design and Exterior
The new Citroen Aircross X is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Its design is more sophisticated and modern than ever before. The SUV boasts a 200 mm ground clearance, wide doors, and roof-mounted rear air vents, making it comfortable on all types of roads. The car boasts a large boot space of 511 liters, making it perfect for long road trips. Furthermore, Citroen ‘s signature “comfortable ride quality” is evident in this SUV.
Interior
Entering the Aircross X’s cabin offers a premium feel. It features ventilated leatherette seats, a leather-wrapped dashboard with gold accents, and a newly designed gear selector. Additionally, it features modern features like ambient and footwell illumination, a 10.25-inch frameless touchscreen infotainment system, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
Technology and Features
With the new Aircross X, the company has introduced its in-car voice assistant, CARA, for the first time. This system understands commands in over 50 languages. You can control music, calls, navigation, and even safety features like crash alerts and SOS functions. This SUV also offers advanced features like keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control, LED projector fog lamps, Tropicool seat ventilation, and a 360-degree camera system with satellite view.
Safety Features
Citroen has provided over 40 standard features in the Aircross X. These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, and parking sensors. Most notably, the Aircross recently received a 5-star rating in the India NCAP crash test, making it a reliable choice when it comes to SUV safety.
Engine and Performance
The new Citroen Aircross X is available in two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. The second is a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, available in both manual and automatic transmission options. The company has also introduced a CNG version, which is available as a dealer-fitted kit. This makes the SUV even more affordable.

The new Citroen Aircross X is priced from ₹9.77 lakh (ex-showroom) to ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can choose from a dual-tone roof, a 360-degree camera, and several other premium optional features. The SUV is available in several attractive colors, including Polar White, Steel Gray, Garnet Red, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, and a new Deep Forest Green shade, giving it a fresh and bold look.
