Design and Aesthetic Changes

Oppo is launching a new design for its Find X9 series, breaking away from the massive round camera module on the Find X8 devices. The new series will sport a rectangular camera module with slightly rounded edges, providing a more symmetrical and contemporary look. The Find X9 Pro is likely to have a thickness of approximately 8.24mm and weigh around 224 grams, sporting IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance certifications.

The standard Find X9 will be ever so slightly thinner at 7.99mm and will weigh 203 grams, with the same heavy-duty protection. Both phones are said to have flat metal frames with a velvet-matte finish, which will provide them with that premium touch reminiscent of the OnePlus 15. The phones are also said to have curved edges that smoothly meld into the rear panel, which will make them look elegant and ergonomic to hold.

Display: Premium Visual Experience

The Oppo Find X9 Pro will pack a 6.78-inch OLED LTPO screen, while the vanilla Find X9 will get a 6.59-inch OLED display. Both screens are said to support a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and 3840Hz PWM dimming for flicker-free comfort. Oppo is said to be incorporating ultrasonic fingerprint sensors below the screen for quicker and more secure unlocking.

Yet another thrilling addition is the 1-nit ultra-low brightness mode, a feature similar to what has been teased for Xiaomi 17 series, providing top-notch visibility in even dim environments. These updates position the Find X9 series among the most visually sophisticated flagships of 2025.

Performance: Power Meets Efficiency

Under the hood, the Oppo Find X9 series is rumored to come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, making it one of the first high-end phones to offer this latest processor. The Find X9 Pro was reportedly over 4 million points on AnTuTu, demonstrating desktop-class performance.

The configuration will be accompanied by as much as 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Oppo will also add satellite messaging through the Beidou network for better connectivity in isolated regions. Fueling the phones will be gargantuan batteries a 7,500mAh battery for the Pro variant and a 7,025mAh battery for the regular version, both of which have support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Camera: Photography Reinvented

The cameras are the Find X9 series’s star. The Find X9 Pro is said to have a Sony LYT828 1/1.28-inch sensor, in addition to a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto lens, and a 2MP multispectral sensor. Hasselblad-tuned users can look forward to professional-class color and detail accuracy.

The standard Find X9 will boast the same quad-camera array but with very slightly reduced sensors, such as a 50MP telephoto camera and potentially the Sony LYT808 as the primary lens. Oppo might also announce Hasselblad’s magnetic camera kit, providing enhanced modular shooting options for photography aficionados.

Launch Date and Software

Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are slated to go on sale in China on October 16, 2025. Both phones will probably be based on ColorOS 16, which is rooted on Android 16, with advanced AI integration, intelligent photo editing software, and advanced battery management.

With its bold design, top-of-the-line performance, and class-leading camera hardware, the Oppo Find X9 series would not only hold its own among 2025’s most cutting-edge flagship smartphones but would stand as an example to industry rivals Samsung, Vivo, and OnePlus.
