New Delhi: The Railways is a department that is important to everyone. Educational Qualifications Required

A minimum of 50% marks in matriculation is required to apply for apprentice positions in the Railways. Additionally, a Central Government-recognized ITI diploma issued by the NCVT or SCVT is essential. Additionally, candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age as of September 14, 2025.

The selection process is also simple. Candidates will be selected based on their marks obtained in the Matriculation and ITI examinations. Importantly, both will be given equal weightage. Separate final merit lists will be prepared for each unit, trade, and community (General, SC, ST, and OBC). These lists will be ranked from top to bottom according to the candidate’s percentage of marks and the number of available positions.

Candidates will also be required to pay an application fee. 100 rupees will be required. SC, ST, Benchmark, Transgender, and female candidates will not have to pay a single rupee. The fee can be paid through online transactions.
