TVS Orbiter or iQube: TVS Motor Company has added to its EV range by launching the Orbiter, a feature-rich and fashionable electric scooter. It goes straight into competition with the hot iQube, which has already acquired customers in various parts of the country. With both costing approximately the ₹1 lakh mark, buyers will have to rely on features, range, and utility to make a choice.

The Orbiter has an on-road price of ₹1.07 lakh in Noida. Meanwhile, the iQube begins at ₹94,000 for the low-end variant, but the 3.1kWh battery pack trim costs ₹1.28 lakh in Noida. Price difference makes sense if you are looking at the mid-variant of the iQube compared to the Orbiter.
Range of TVS Orbiter and TVS iQube
Orbiter comes with a solitary 3.1kWh battery pack that provides an IDC range of 158 km. Compare this to iQube, which comes with various battery pack options ranging from 2.2kWh to 5.1kWh. iQube’s 3.1kWh model has a claimed range of 123 km, which is less than Orbiter claims. Customers who cover high distances can be drawn to the Orbiter based on this fact.

TVS is introducing the Orbiter in six trendy colors such as Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper. The iQube in its 3.1kWh model comes in five colors such as Pearl White, Walnut Brown, Titanium Grey, Copper Brown Beige, and Starlight Blue Beige. Color choice is significant for young customers seeking fashion.

The Orbiter promotes features such as cruise control and a USB Type-C charger. The iQube, on the other hand, has a contemporary touchscreen instrument cluster and LED headlights. Both receive driving modes and reverse parking assist, but the Orbiter leans more towards utility features and the iQube towards digital comfort.
Storage Capacity of Orbiter Compared to iQube
Orbiter provides a huge 34 litres of under-seat storage, which is a huge plus for carrying helmets or luggage. iQube, however, provides 17 litres of space, which is useful but smaller when directly compared to the Orbiter.
