Railway News Update: Whatever the season in India, the crowd in trains remains the same. There is a slight difference only in the festive season, because there is a rush for tickets to go home. The festive season is going to start across the country now. People have started booking tickets from Diwali to Chhath Puja.

Now we are going to tell you about such a scheme of the Railways which will give up to 20 per cent discount. Actually, the  Railways have started a round-trip scheme. Under this scheme, up to a 20 per cent discount will be provided on return tickets. However, this discount is not going to apply to all trains scheme is not going to have any effect on Vande Bharat and Rajdhani Express.

The scheme will be effective in the festive season.

The railway’s one-way scheme will prove to be effective in the festive season. This scheme has been started by the Indian Railways, focusing on the crowd of passengers due to big festivals like Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. Under this scheme m a discount is going to be given on travel bookings between October 13 and October 2A discountunt will be given only to those passengers who book their return tickets together.

This discount will not be given on booking separate tickets. The discount will be applicable to return tickets. Round trip scheme can be availed in most of the express and festival special trains. Rajdhani Express and Vande Bharat have been kept out of this scheme.

Who will get the benefit? fit

On the occasion of Diwali and Chhath during the festive season, some special trains will be operated by the Railways. Only passengers with confirmed tickets will be able to avail the benefit of the scheme. This facility will not be available on waiting tickets.

Ticket booking facility will be possible on the ORCTC Rail Connect mobile app. Passengers will be able to book tickets under the scheme by selecting the ‘Festival Round Trip’ option on the app.
