Right now, a new type of fraud is being seen in the market. That is why the State Bank of India (SBI) has asked customers to be careful. The bank has issued a warning in public interest and said that cyber thugs are trying to cheat by changing the mobile number linked to the customer’s bank account.
These thugs call or send SMS and say, “Click on the link to speed up your pension order (PPO)” or warn, “Pension verification is pending, pension will stop if you don’t act now.” In this way, they trick customers to click on links or share private details and then get access to their bank account.
SBI said the bank never does PPO
