Big relief for patients

Bajaj Allianz

After the restoration of cashless services, policyholders will no longer need to deposit money in advance for treatment in the hospital. The payment process will be completed directly between the insurance company and the hospital. This will reduce the problems of patients and their families and make the availability of health services easier.

AHPI Director General Dr. Girdhar Gyani clarified that the aim of the organization is to provide better facilities to the patients. He said that insurance companies and hospitals should work together so that patients can get transparent, simple, and timely treatment.

Background of the dispute

On August 22, AHPI had advised hospitals in North India to stop cashless services of Bajaj Allianz and Care Health Insurance from September 1. The reason given was pending old payments, claim rejection, and a long process. However, the insurance companies clarified that the facility of policyholders will not be disrupted, and if there is any hitch in a cashless claim, the payment will be made directly to the customer’s account.
