The wait for high-speed rail connectivity between Nanded, the main religious place of Sikhs, and the economic capital Mumbai is finally over. On Tuesday, 26 August, the Vande Bharat Express train started from Hazur Sahib Nanded to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). This train is an extension of the already running Jalna-CSMT Vande Bharat Express, which is being operated by Central Railway.
Saving distance and time
This modern semi-high-speed train will cover a total distance of 610 km between Nanded and Mumbai. This train will take about 9 hours and 15 minutes to complete the journey. Earlier, the fastest service between Nanded and Mumbai was the Devgiri Express, which covered this distance in 11 hours 20 minutes. In this way, Vande Bharat will save about two hours of additional time for the passengers.
First journey and regular time
On August 26, for the first time, train number 20705 Nanded-CSMT Vande Bharat left at 11:20 am and reached Mumbai at 9:55 pm. However, as per regular operations, this train will leave from Nanded at 5 am and reach CSMT Mumbai at 2:25 pm. It is worth noting that the service of this train will not be available from Nanded on Wednesday and from Mumbai on Thursday.
Major stops on the way
During the journey, this train will stop at many big cities. These include major stations like Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Thane, and Dadar. Passengers of Central Maharashtra will also get great relief by getting stoppages at these stations.
Seating capacity and facilities
A total of 20 coaches have been installed in the Nanded-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express. Both executive chair car and AC chair car categories are available in them. Overall, this train has a seating arrangement for 1440 passengers at a time. The combination of comfortable seating, modern design, and speed makes this train special.

Fare and travel experience
The fare for the AC chair car for travelling in this train has been fixed at Rs 161,0, and the fare for the executive chair car has been fixed at Rs 2930. Due to its fast speed, comfortable experience, and reaching the destination in less time, this train will give a new travel experience to the passengers.
