Will the DA arrears money be received?
Central employees and pensioners had earlier hoped that the money of DA arrears could be received, but now this will not happen. When this question was asked by the opposition during the monsoon session, the government refused to release the outstanding money.

A few days ago, in the Lok Sabha session, Minister of State in the Finance Ministry Pankaj Chaudhary reiterated this in response to the question of MP Anand Bhadoria. Pankaj Chaudhary said that it was decided to take this step to reduce the financial burden during the COVID-19 epidemic. At present, the government is not considering paying the arrears.
Till when was the DA stopped?
The central government did not send the DA arrears from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2021 during the COVID-19 epidemic. The government cited the deteriorating economy due to COVID-19 as the reason behind this. The employees have been demanding DA arrears of 18 months for a long time. But it has been clearly refused by the government.
How much increase in DA is possible?
The central government may soon increase the dearness allowance. It is believed that this time the DA of central employees can be increased by 3 per cent. After this, it can increase to 58 per cent.
