New Delhi: After Uttarakhand, now a cloudburst has caused devastation in the Chashoti area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Water and debris flowed together here, and 10 people have died. A large number of people are buried under the debris. The death toll may increase. Teams of local administration, NDRF and SDRF have reached the spot.
Relief and rescue work has also started rapidly. But the flood situation persists in many places in Chashoti. Due to the fast flow of water, difficulties are being faced in carrying out rescue operations. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has also expressed grief over the cloudburst incident.

Many people had gathered for a religious pilgrimage.
A cloudburst occurred in Chashoti village of Paddar in Kishtwar. This is considered to be the starting point of the Machail Mata temple. Many people had already gathered here due to religious events. The rescue operation has started with the help of local people. The Machail Mata pilgrimage takes place every year in August, when thousands of devotees gather. Herone can see an amazing confluence of devotion.
This route is 210 km long from Jammu to Kishtwar, and on this route, vehicles can be used on the 19.5 km road from Paddar to Chashoti. After this, one has to travel 8.5 km on foot to Machail Chail.
There was devastation in Uttarakhand as well.
A cloudburst caused devastation in Dharali village of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. Many people lost their lives, and the map of the village was wiped out. Hundreds of lives could be saved by running a relief and rescue operation that lasted for several days. Uttarakhand State Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached the spot to see the marks of the horrific scene.
