PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0. The Government of India is committed to providing clean fuel to every household in the country. For which subsidy is being given on a cooking gas (LPG) connection? Recently, the Modi government has approved the continuation of the LPG targeted subsidy in the financial year 2025-26 as well. Due to this, a subsidy of Rs 300 will be given on a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in the scheme. This subsidy will be given for a maximum of 9 refills per year. For this, the government will spend Rs 12,000 crore.

PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0
The government launched this scheme in PMUY in May 2016, intending to provide deposit-free LPG connections to women of poor families across the country. According to government data, till July 1, 2025, connections have been issued to about 10.33 crore women under this scheme.
In this beneficial scheme, the female beneficiary gets a cylinder, pressure regulator, safety hose, Domestic Gas Consumer Card (DGCC) booklet and installation charge. Under Ujjwala 2.0, the first refill and stove are also given free.

- Voter ID card or any other photo identity card.
- Ration card: BPL ration card or any other state government document certifying the composition of the family
- Bank account details Copy of the bank passbook, or a cancelled cheque to get the subsidy.

How to apply for PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0
To apply for PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0, you have two options, the first of which you can apply yourself from home. You can go to the official website of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, pmuy.gov.in. Now, click on the ‘Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection’ option. Choose the gas company of your choice (Indane, Bharat Gas or HP Gas) and then fill out the entire online form.

You can apply for PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 offline. So you can also get the application form by going to your nearest LPG distributor (gas agency) and submitting it along with the required documents.
The thing to note is that you have to attach the correct documents at the time of application; otherwise, the application may also be rejected. Give the correct information about the bank account, so that there is no problem in getting the subsidy.
