Scheme for Farmer’s– Good news for farmer’s. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 20th installment of Rs 2,000 to farmers across the country . Amidst this help from the central government, today the Andhra Pradesh government led by N Chandrababu Naidu distributed an amount of Rs 7,000 each to 47 lakh farmers on Saturday under the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme. Under this scheme, every farmer is given financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per year.
According to a video link shared by the government, while launching the state-wide initiative worth Rs 3,174 crore, the chief minister symbolically handed over cheques to two farmers and also presented a cheque of Rs 29 crore for the Darsi constituency.
Lakhs of farmers got 7 thousand rupees
Naidu distributed the first instalment of the amount at East Veerayapalem village in Darsi mandal of Prakasam district. Out of the Rs 7,000 given to lakhs of farmers on Saturday, Rs 5,000 was given by the State, while the remaining Rs 2,000 was given by the Central government under the PM-Kisan scheme.
Combining the Centre’s contribution of Rs 6,000 and the state’s Rs 14,000 under PM-KISAN, the southern state aims to distribute Rs 20,000 per year in three instalments to eligible farmers under the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ – ‘PM Kisan’ scheme. The state’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has allocated Rs 2,343 crore for the first instalment, while the Centre has provided Rs 831 crore.
‘Annadaata Sukhibhava’ is an election promise made by Naidu for the 2024 elections and is part of the ‘Super Six’ set of election promises that also assure three free cooking gas cylinders per year, Rs 15,000 per year for every school-going child, Rs 1,500 monthly financial assistance for women between 19 and 59 years and others.
