Bank Holidays List: The month of Sawan is considered very holy, in which the atmosphere remains devotional. People are seen taking a bath in the month of Sawan and performing Jalabhishek in the rocks early in the morning. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees about Sawan’s Shivratri since Wednesday morning. On the other hand, schools and banks are also closed in many states on the holy festival of Shivratri.

You must be wondering whether there will be a bank holiday in your area, but work will continue here like the rest of the day. According to the calendar issued by the Reserve Bank of India, a regional bank holiday has not been declared on 23 July 2025. All public and private banks across the country will remain open as usual. While banks are going to be closed this Saturday. Banks will remain closed on 26 July due to the second Saturday of the month.

Know on which day banks will remain closed in July

26 July (Saturday): Fourth Saturday – Banks will remain closed across the country.

27 July (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country due to a weekly holiday.

28 July (Monday): There will be a local holiday in Sikkim due to the Drukpa Tshe-Jo festival.

These services will remain operational.

Your work will be affected due to the banks being closed for the next three days in July. But in these three days, online services, such as net banking, mobile banking and digital services like UP, I will continue to run like other days. You can also do transactions through UPI. From paying electricity bills to checking account balances, you can also easily do so.

So many days of bank holidays in August

For information, let us tell you that there will be 10 days of bank holiday in August. These include Sunday (3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August) and the second and fourth Saturdays (10 and 23 August). There will be state-wise holidays on festivals like Rakshabandhan (9 August), Independence Day (15 August), Janmashtami (16 August), Ganesh Chaturthi (27–28 August) and Nuakhai (28 August).
