CM Nitish Kumar himself has shared the information by tweeting the decision of the government to give 125 units of electricity. He said that we have been providing electricity to everyone at cheap rates since the beginning. Now it has been decided that all the domestic consumers of the state will not have to pay any fee for electricity up to 125 units.

This decision of the government will benefit about 1.67 crore consumers of Bihar. This scheme will prove to be effective for the poor and middle class. Nitish Kumar said, ‘We have also decided that in the next three years, after taking consent from all these domestic consumers, solar power plants will be installed on the roofs of their houses or at the nearest public place, and direct benefit will be given.
What did the CM say?
Giving information, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that under the Kutir Jyoti Yojana, the state government will bear the entire cost of installing solar power plants for the extremely poor families,s and the government will also provide proper support for the rest. The state government believes that now consumers will get 125 units of electricity for free. Meaning no charge will be given for this much electricity.
With this, up to 10 thousand megawatts of solar energy will be available in the next three years. According to the government, these efforts will not only reduce electricity expenditure, but the state will also get about 10,000 MW more solar energy in the next three years. This will reduce the power crisis to a great extent.
