The UP government keeps launching new schemes for the people of the state. Some of these schemes are for farmers, while some give help to poor families. The government tries to support people from all sections of society. The new scheme that is starting now is directly connected to the kitchen of common people.
This new scheme is about the use of LPG gas cylinders. With the help of this scheme, the use of gas cylinders by farmers and people living in villages will reduce a lot. Because of this, many people are now asking whether this scheme by the UP government will really replace LPG gas cylinders. Let us explain the full details of this scheme.
Biogas Units Will Be Made in Villages
The UP government is now planning to make biogas units in villages. These biogas plants will be made in the homes or fields of farmers. This will give a new way to get cooking gas. With this scheme, farmers will get gas for the kitchen and also organic fertilizer for farming.
This means they will get two benefits from one plant. The government wants that villages should make their own energy and grow in a way that is good for the environment. Right now, this scheme is only in cow shelters, but the government wants to bring it to every farmer’s home.
Will LPG Cylinders Stop?
This new scheme may reduce the use of LPG cylinders in villages. The biogas plants will be made near the farmers’ homes or fields. From there, they will get gas to cook food and natural fertilizer for their farms. Dr. Anurag Srivastava from the Uttar Pradesh Gauseva Commission says that after these plants are made, the use of LPG cylinders in villages may go down by about 70 percent.
Families who now spend money every month to refill gas cylinders will be able to save money. But still, we cannot say for sure that LPG cylinders will stop fully. This biogas plant will also help in farming. Farmers will not need to buy chemical fertilisers from outside. The government wants to make villages self-reliant and help people spend less money on cooking gas.
