New Delhi: A blast in a pharma factory in Telangana caused a massive fire, due to which the death toll has reached 34. The accident was so terrible that it shook the whole country. This blast took place on Monday in Sigachi Industries, a chemical plant located in Pashamailaram Industrial Area.
Earlier, there were reports of 10 people getting injured in this. A few days later, the news of 13 people dying in the fire came to light. By the time the late-night report came, 34 deaths had been confirmed. It is being reported that the death toll may increase further as many people are reported to be injured.
How many hours did the rescue operation last?
According to the report, panic spread due to the sound of a loud explosion in the factory between 8:15 and 9:35 am on Monday. Due to this, a large part of the factory collapsed, and then a fire broke out. After the fire broke out, many teams reached the spot and rescue work was started. The accident was so terrible that the rescue work continued till Tuesday.
Factory structure destroyed
The Telangana Health Minister had said that 12 people have died and 34 are undergoing treatment. We hope that there will be no more deaths. But later, more bodies were found in the debris, which increased the death toll. Many injured people also died in the hospital.
The explosion was so powerful that the factory structure was destroyed. Fire brigade officials said that initially, five bodies were recovered from the debris. As the rescue operation progressed, this number increased.
