Salary Increase- There is a relief news for contract workers. Let us tell you that the government has increased the salary of contract employees working in various departments. The Finance Department issued an order to fix the annual increase rate of salary at 2.94% on the basis of consumer price index. This will increase the salary from Rs 375 to Rs 2500.

However, the Madhya Pradesh Contract Employee Officer Federation has called it a drop in the ocean. President Ramesh Rathore has given a memorandum to the CM and said that contract employees should be given the same dearness allowance as regular employees used to get earlier. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) which the Finance Department increases is very low.

A few days ago, Mayor Dr. Shobha Sikarwar had written a letter to the Corporation Commissioner Sangh Priya on the low wages paid to the workers by the outsourced agency in Gwalior city of MP. In the letter, she has asked to examine the amount paid to the workers by the outsourced agency and to investigate the agency.

It has been told in the letter that the amount paid to the employees by Raj Security Force and Sengar Security, the agencies providing outsourced employees, sweepers and security guards in the corporation, is less than the amount withdrawn by the corporation. Complaints regarding this are also coming continuously and as per the discussion done on the complaint, notice was issued to the concerned agency Sengar Security.
