Mumbai Local Train Accident: After the tragic accident in Mumbai’s local train today (9 June 2025) at 9 am, a big decision has been taken by the Railways. This accident happened at the Diva Mumbra station in Mumbai. Due to overcrowding, 10 passengers fell from the door of the local train, in which four people are reported dead.
At the time of the accident, the train going from Kasara to CSMT was full of passengers. Passengers were travelling, hanging on the door. After this accident, Indian Railways has taken a big step to install automatic doors in local trains. Keeping in view the safety of the passengers, this big decision has been taken by the Indian Railways.
Now, such coaches will be made for Mumbai local trains, whose doors will close automatically. That is, an Automatic Door will now be made for regional trains. According to the Railway Board, the racks to be manufactured for the Mumbai Suburban will now have automatic doors. At the same time, the old trains (racks) that are currently running on the track will be redesigned again. An automatic door closure facility will be provided in them.
How did this tragic accident happen
According to the information, this accident reportedly occurred due to a collision between passengers on the footboard (gate) of trains travelling in opposite directions. This accident occurred today, on June 9th, at around 9 am. Giving information, a police officer said that many passengers have been injured in the accident. Police stated that the incident occurred near Mumbra station in the district.
