Railway Rule– Indian Railways has taken a big step to control the fraud happening in Tatkal ticket booking. People face trouble every day while booking Tatkal tickets on IRCTC website. When people book tickets in the morning, the problem of website hanging arises.
Sometimes, due to slow speed and bots, the ticket remains in waiting list. Now, to end this problem, the Railway Ministry has taken a big decision.
What is the new decision of Indian Railways?
Let us tell you that Indian Railways will soon start e-Aadhaar authentication system. This will put an end to the fraud going on in railway tickets.
With this, only needy and genuine passengers will be able to get confirmed tickets. Passengers will have to link their mobile number with Aadhaar. After this, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number while booking the ticket. The OTP will have to be entered on the IRCTC website to complete the verification. After this, users will get the facility to book tickets.
Now brokers will be banned
Agents use many fake email IDs to create 50 profiles on IRCTC platform. While creating user ID or profile, an OTP is sent to the email ID and the agent verifies using that OTP. In such a case, after authentication, the fake email ID will become invalid. Due to this fraud, the chances for many passengers who actually book tickets once get limited.
IRCTC’s new AI plan
Secondly, IRCTC’s latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning-based bot detection techniques identify such fake accounts and eliminate them before they clog the booking system.
What was the effect after the action?
The company said that this initiative has already shown positive results, the number of new user IDs being created on the IRCTC platform has now come down to only 10,000 to 12,000, which has reduced the load on the system and the ticket booking system is better than before.
