New Delhi: First, a dust storm and then rain in the capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas led to a drop in temperature. People here got relief from the scorching heat. Due to a western disturbance, rain may be for the next two days. The storm also spoiled the weather in some plains in western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, where drizzle relieved the heat.

Storms and rain in many places in South India relieved people from the heat. The movement of clouds is still seen in many parts of North India. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and rain in the next 48 hours.

How will the weather be in Delhi and its surroundings?

According to IMD, the next 48 hours are likely to be troublesome for the residents of Delhi NCR. There is a possibility of rain in Delhi NCR. Winds are expected to blow at 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the country’s capital—the maximum temperature will likely be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday. The minimum temperature is expected to fall to 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has expressed hope for rain in Delhi NCR, Northeast, and East India for the next 2. Heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar. Also, good rain is expected in West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Kerala for the next 2 days. The IMD said the weather may remain bad with lightning and strong winds in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.

Heavy rain in these states

The IMD has issued an alert about rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. A warning of light rain with strong winds has also been issued in Chhattisgarh and coastal states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana.

Winds are expected to blow at 35 kmph to 45 kmph over the Gulf of Mannar and Comorin area, Tamil Nadu coast, Sri Lanka coast and off it and the south-west Bay of Bengal.
