Haryana New Cancer Institute Open: Monday Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Hisar, where he unveiled the statue of Maharaja Agrasen in the Maharaja Agrasen Medical College campus. Also, inaugurated the 30-bed ICU unit in the medical college and laid the foundation stone of the PG hostel.

Tremendous improvement in health services

In his address, Amit Shah said that today is also the death anniversary of OP Jindal. He has been a big politician of this state and his name is also taken among the leading industrialists of the country. Along with all this, his values were such that he used to worry about the society before business. The result of this is that today there is such a big hospital, where about five lakh people take service in OPD. Every year around 180 children move forward in medical graduation and PG from here.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Narendra Modi government has raised India’s health infrastructure by adopting a holistic approach to improve the health sector across the country in the last decade. He said that the health infrastructure has been improved from primary to tertiary level. Amit Shah said that the number of medical colleges has increased from 387 to 766. The number of MBBS seats has increased from 51,000 to 1.15 lakh and 85,000 additional seats will be added in the next five years.

Demand for cancer hospital unfulfilled

In this program, BJP MP from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat Naveen Jindal and former Rajya Sabha MP DP Vats demanded the construction of a cancer hospital. It was not announced in the program. Then Chief Minister Naib Saini said that a cancer institute is being built in Jhajjar. The result of this is that today there is such a big hospital, where about five lakh people take service in OPD.
