Yamaha YZF-R2 Price and Variants
The price starts at ₹2.30 lakh, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-September 2026. It has been launched in India across three variants and comes with five new colour options. The base variant is available in Metallic Black and Dark Bluish Grey. Next is the YZF-R2 Quick Shifter variant, priced at ₹2.39 lakh, available in Matte White Pearl and Racing Blue.
Yamaha YZF-R2 Engine
The new Yamaha YZF-R2 is powered by a 204cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve, DOHC petrol engine. This engine generates 26.5 PS of power and 19.1 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and includes assist and slipper clutch functionality.
Yamaha YZF-R2 R-Series Design
The YZF-R2 features a design inspired by Yamaha’s R-Series. The front end sports a bi-functional LED headlamp flanked by dual LED position lights. The compact fairing is designed for aerodynamic efficiency, while the rear features a block-style LED tail lamp. The 17-inch wheels further enhance the bike’s sporty look.
Yamaha YZF-R2 TFT Display
The Yamaha YZF-R2 comes equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT display. This screen provides the rider with essential ride and navigation information. Through Yamaha Ride Control, riders can choose from three riding modes: Street, Sport, and Rain. The YZF-R2 M variant also offers additional premium features.
It includes a Smart Key System, an adjustable front fork, a rear shock absorber, and adjustable clutch and brake levers. Additionally, it features a premium 3D-embossed emblem, a faux-suede seat, a silver-finished swingarm, and a shot-blasted muffler end cap.
