Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Launch Date: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is set to launch its Xiaomi 18 Pro series on September 23. The series has been subject to continuous teasing. The lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Information regarding the specifications of these smartphones has surfaced through leaks. The company had previously confirmed a September launch for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. Now, it has announced that the phones will be unveiled at a new product launch event on September 23 at 7:00 PM (China time).

Xiaomi has also shared a teaser poster titled “Full Upgrade” that highlights five key features. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will share the same chip platform, camera setup, and display technology.

2 nm Chip
Xiaomi states that both phones will feature a flagship 2nm mobile chip manufactured using the 2nm GAA process. The company claims the new chip will enhance both performance and power efficiency, though it has not yet revealed the chip’s name. However, as is widely known, this chip is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The launch will coincide with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for September 22–24.

These phones may feature a Leica camera system with dual 200MP sensors: a main camera with a large sensor and a periscope telephoto camera, which also has a large sensor.

Earlier, real-life images shared by tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ revealed details such as a 17 mm–75 mm focal range and a 3.2x periscope zoom. Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed these details.

Regarding the display, Xiaomi is using a next-generation Super Pixel panel that features its M11 light-emitting system and new green light-emitting materials. Additionally, the Xiaomi 18 Pro might feature a 7,000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to come with an 8,500mAh battery. The launch poster does not mention charging speeds; however, 3C certification from August revealed 100W wired charging support for two Xiaomi models.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max Features
The Chinese company’s previous model, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, was launched with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display. It features a 2.9-inch secondary display on the back and a triple-camera setup. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It houses a 7,500 mAh battery that supports 100 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging.
