Vivo X500 Ultra Leaked Camera: Vivo smartphones are quite stylish. Especially when it comes to the cameras in Vivo’s premium smartphones, they offer DSLR-quality performance. Now, leaks are surfacing one after another regarding the Vivo X500 Ultra smartphone. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the camera hardware for the Vivo X500 Ultra hasn’t been finalised yet. The company is evaluating multiple 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensors before settling on the final imaging system.
According to the tipster, Vivo is currently testing three different 200-megapixel telephoto sensors in different sizes: 1/1.12-inch, 1/1.3-inch, and 1/1.4-inch. The leak suggests that Vivo’s engineering team is still comparing the pros and cons of each sensor. A larger sensor could provide better light capture and image quality at longer focal lengths, although it would also require a more complex and space-consuming camera module.
Digital Chat Station previously reported that the company had scrapped a prototype with a 10x telephoto lens and was focusing on using a single 200-megapixel periscope camera with in-sensor zoom technology.
The Vivo X500 Ultra is currently considered unlikely to launch this year. It is said to be introduced in China and the global market in the first half of 2027.

The Vivo X500 series is expected to include at least four models: the Vivo X500e, X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. According to previous reports, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to sport a triple-rear-camera setup, potentially including a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Additionally, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera—featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm focal length—may be included.
The tipster also claims that the telephoto camera will support high-quality telephoto macro photography. Leaks further suggest that Vivo is testing an improved optical image stabilisation (OIS) lens. Previous reports suggest that the Vivo X500 Pro Max could be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
