Mahindra Scorpio-N: As of February 1, the total pending orders for the Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic were over 1 lakh. Mahindra has announced that it had 2.20 lakh open orders for its SUV line-up as of May 1, including the highest at 86,000 units for its best-selling Scorpio range (Scorpio N and Classic), while the total order backlog is slightly lower than the 2.26 lakh units reported on February 1. At the same time, pending orders for the Scorpio have now come down by about 15% from 1.01 lakh units.
Waiting period for Scorpio Classic
The waiting period for the Mahindra Scorpio Classic is a maximum of 5 months. Mahindra has not revealed the exact split of pending orders between the Scorpio-N and Classic models. The Mahindra Thar and XUV700 have pending orders of 59,000 and 16,000 tonnes respectively.
Scorpio-N Price and Engine
Mahindra offers two engine options for the Scorpio-N. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available in it is capable of generating 203hp of power. At the same time, the second 2.2-litre diesel generates 175hp of power. It can have the option of 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic transmission. But, 4WD can only be available with diesel engines. The ex-showroom price of Scorpio-N in India ranges from Rs 13.60 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh.
Scorpio Classic Price and Engine Power
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic gets a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is capable of generating 132hp of power and 300Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is no option of automatic or 4WD with it. Its price starts from Rs 13.59 Lakh and goes upto Rs 17.35 Lakh.
