Toyota Innova HyCross Facelift: The Toyota Innova HyCross is already a well-known name in the Indian MPV market. It has carved a niche for itself thanks to its comfortable seating, hybrid technology, and premium road presence. Now, Toyota is preparing to make it even more impressive. It has been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads, and significant details regarding its launch have recently emerged. Let’s take a look at the details.
Design
While the vehicle’s front profile is currently very MPV-like, Toyota is preparing to enhance the design with the facelift. The new front fascia could give the HyCross a robust, aggressive, SUV-like appearance. The front design is expected to resemble the recently launched Hilux, potentially featuring a bold nose element between the headlamps and a new honeycomb-mesh grille.
The headlamps may become sleeker and are expected to incorporate LED elements. Additionally, styling features such as a new front bumper, LED projector fog lamps, and a faux skid plate could further reinforce its SUV-like personality.
Cabin
Regarding the interior, the new Innova HyCross Facelift is likely to be more modern than the current model. It is expected to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system and an updated driver display. The 360-degree camera system may also receive an upgrade.
Features such as connected car technology, a panoramic sunroof, and electrically adjustable seats are likely to be retained. While ventilated front seats are expected, Toyota may also be working on rear-seat ventilation.
2.0-Litre Petrol Engine
Toyota engines have always been known for their robust performance; consequently, the Innova HyCross Facelift is expected to retain the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power of 173 PS and a peak torque of 204 Nm, and it is paired with a CVT gearbox.
Additionally, the 2.0-litre strong hybrid powertrain will also be available. In this system, the petrol engine and electric motor work in tandem to deliver a combined output of approximately 184 PS. This hybrid setup is paired with an e-CVT transmission.
