Vaibhav Suryavanshi takes a stunning catch
But everyone is used to seeing Vaibhav’s batting prowess. But after his big innings, Vaibhav’s fielding prowess surprised everyone and won their hearts. All this happened in the 38th over of the UAE innings. Spinner Vihaan Malhotra was bowling, and Prithvi Madhu hit a high shot off his fourth ball. But his attempt at a six was unsuccessful. Vaibhav, stationed at long-off, ran a long distance and, just as the ball was about to fall, dived and took the catch with perfect timing. The entire team was stunned by Vaibhav’s catch at such a young age.
This catch was also special because it helped the Indian team end a 24-over partnership and send back to the pavilion the batsman who had scored 50 runs for the UAE. Earlier, Vaibhav Suryavanshi wreaked havoc with his bat. India, batting first, posted a mammoth total of 433 runs in 50 overs.
The biggest reason for this was Vaibhav, who scored his century in just 56 balls. He wasn’t satisfied with that and was dismissed for a massive 171. In his 95-ball innings, Vaibhav smashed 14 sixes and 9 fours. In response, the UAE team managed only 199 runs in 50 overs, losing by 234 runs.
