Kambli’s younger brother, Virendra Kambli, has shared the latest update on the former cricketer’s health and has asked fans and well-wishers to pray for him. Last year, Vinod Kambli was admitted to Thane Hospital because of a urine infection. Since then, he has been recovering at home, but his progress has been very slow.

Kambli’s younger brother Virendra said in a podcast show, “Vinod is at home now. His condition is stable, but his treatment is still going on. He is having trouble speaking, but he is a champion and will make a comeback. I hope he will walk and run again. I have full faith in him, and I hope fans will see him on the field once more.”

Virendra also said, “Vinod recently completed a ten-day rehabilitation program and a full medical check-up. During that time, he had a brain scan and urine test. All the reports were fine and nothing serious was found. But now, since Vinod cannot move much, doctors have advised physiotherapy. He still cannot speak clearly, but his health is improving.
