Suryakumar Yadav Supports Rohit Sharma
In a conversation with news agency ANI, Suryakumar Yadav dismissed concerns about Rohit Sharma’s fitness, emphasizing his remarkable leadership over the years. He pointed out that under Rohit’s captaincy, India has reached four ICC finals in the last four years, a feat that speaks volumes about his capabilities.
“If a player has been playing for 15-20 years and has led his team to four ICC finals in the last four years, it is a huge achievement. I have seen him work extremely hard. As far as I know, he is still at the top of his game, and I wish him all the best for the final match,” Suryakumar stated.
The debate around Rohit Sharma’s fitness started when Congress leader Shama Mohamed raised concerns on social media. However, she faced heavy criticism from fans and cricket experts for questioning the fitness of a captain who has consistently delivered results for Team India.

If we can continue this momentum, winning the final won’t be too difficult for us,” he said.
Rohit Sharma’s leadership has already proven successful, with India recently winning the T20 World Cup 2024. In that tournament, India defeated South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final, marking a historic victory under Rohit’s captaincy.
With another ICC title on the line, Team India will look to silence critics once again and bring home the Champions Trophy under Rohit Sharma’s leadership.
