India vs Pakistan Asia Cup U-19 Final clash

The youth team of India, led by Ayush Mhatre, finished on top of Group A by winning all its matches, ahead of Pakistan. Pakistan’s only defeat in the group stage came against India, in which it lost by 90 runs last Sunday. India continued their momentum in Friday’s semi-final, defeating Sri Lanka by eight wickets. Pakistan, on the other hand, defeated defending champions Bangladesh to reach the final. India’s journey to the final has been based on an all-round performance, with both batsmen and bowlers forming a formidable unit. India’s batting performance has been excellent, with the team scoring over 400 twice. This 50-over tournament has seen the emergence of young talent, including 17-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Abhigyan Kundu.

young gun Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 171 off 95 balls to help India post a total of 433 for six in the first match against the United Arab Emirates, Kundu etched his name in the record books against Malaysia. The left-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 209 off 125 balls, becoming the first Indian to score a double century in a young ODI. The pair will be looking to put up another good performance against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. Whenever India’s top order has faltered, the middle order has risen to the occasion.
