Virat Kohli breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s record

Virat Kohli, known as the King of Cricket, is at a stage in his career where every time he steps on the field, he sets a record. A similar scenario was witnessed in the second ODI against New Zealand. Kohli returned to the pavilion after scoring just 23 runs in that innings, but with that, he broke the record of the great Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli continues to rain runs against New Zealand. Virat Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar by scoring just one run in the second ODI against New Zealand.

Sachin Tendulkar held the record for most runs against New Zealand in ODIs. Sachin had scored 1750 runs against this team in ODIs. Surpassing this record, Virat Kohli has now scored 1773 runs against the Kiwis. However, the record for most runs against New Zealand is held by former Australian player Ricky Ponting. Ponting scored 1971 runs against this team.

Now Kohli will make every effort to surpass him as well. King Kohli is now seen playing only in the ODI format. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Team India got off to a good start.
