Danish Kaneria: The condition of Pakistan cricket is getting worse with time. The captain, coach and management of the team keep changing every day. Pakistani veteran cricketers and fans were yet to recover from the shameful performance of the Champions Trophy 2025 when former cricketer Danish Kaneria has claimed to be a victim of religious discrimination. Kaneria says that he was discriminated against because he belonged to a minority community in Pakistan and attempts were made to ruin his career.
Hindu cricketer made serious allegations
Danish Kaneria recently attended a program in Washington, USA. In this program, the issue of ‘mistreatment of minorities’ in Pakistan was discussed. Talking to the media, Danish Kaneria said, “Today we all have gathered here and told how we all became victims of discrimination and raised our voice against it. I too was discriminated against in Pakistan, due to which my career was ruined. I was not treated equally in Pakistan nor did I get respect.”

Danish Kaneria did not stop here, he also urged the United States of America (USA) to intervene to help people like him progress in sports. He said, “Our aim was to spread awareness among the people. I urge America to take strict action against the way people are treated here.”
Danish Kaneria retired at the age of 29
Today’s era is such that a cricketer reaches the peak of his career at the age of 30. But by this age Danish Kaneria had retired. He had taken 261 wickets in 61 Test matches in his career. He had taken 15 wickets in 18 ODI matches.
