Old Delhi 6 defeated West Delhi Lions by 15 runs in the Delhi Premier League on Thursday. Old Delhi batted first and scored 186 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 187 runs, West Delhi Lions could score only 171 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs, even though Ayush Doseja scored a century.

While chasing, West Delhi Lions had a poor start and lost two wickets for just 13 runs. Ankit Rajesh (0) got out, and Krishi Yadav scored 12 runs. After that, Ayush Doseja and Naman Tiwari added 51 runs for the third wicket. But Pradeep Parasar broke the partnership by getting Naman Tiwari (5) out in the 8th over.

Ayush Doseja’s Century Goes in Vain

After that, captain Nitish Rana came to bat and added 48 runs with Ayush Doseja for the fourth wicket. Rana got out after scoring 15 runs. When Doseja got out in the 17th over, West Delhi Lions’ hopes of winning were almost over.

Ayush Doseja played a great innings of 101 runs in just 54 balls. He hit 10 fours and 5 sixes. Tishant Dabla scored 10 runs. West Delhi Lions finished at 171 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 15 runs.

Strong Batting by Old Delhi 6

Earlier, West Delhi Lions won the toss and chose to bowl first. Old Delhi 6 batted well and scored 186 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. This was possible because of strong innings by Samarth Seth, who scored 52 runs in 36 balls, and Dev Lakra, who scored 47 runs in 31 balls.

Other batters also helped. Aarush Malhotra scored 21 runs in 8 balls, Ekansh Dobal made 20 in 11 balls, captain Vansh Bedi scored 19 runs, and Lalit Yadav added 10.
