Venues for T20 World Cup
Reports suggested, it’s unclear whether Bengaluru or Lucknow were considered as venues. The BCCI has opted out of awarding the 2026 T20 World Cup to venues that recently hosted the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Indore, and Navi Mumbai are the four venues in India that have hosted matches in the Women’s ODI World Cup.
Where can be the final
According to media reports, the BCCI is considering hosting the 2026 T20 World Cup in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, in addition to Ahmedabad. These venues have almost been finalized to host the mega event. Colombo, Sri Lanka, is also slated to host the T20 World Cup. Another stadium in Sri Lanka may also host T20 World Cup matches, as Pakistan is scheduled to play all of its matches there.
One thing is certain, one semi-final will be played in India, but the second semi-final will be decided by whether Sri Lanka or India will host it, as the Pakistan team is not planning to travel to India. If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, their semi-final will undoubtedly be played in Sri Lanka. This is why the ICC will announce the venue for the World Cup final later, or if it does, it will do so like the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
if Pakistan reaches the final, Sri Lanka will host the final, and if Pakistan fails to reach the final, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host the title match. Sri Lanka is a co-host of this tournament. Sri Lanka will also demand that major matches be played there.
