New Delhi: Currently,the buzz surrounding the IPL—often dubbed the Mahakumbh (grand festival) of cricket—is resonating across the country and around the globe. Meanwhile,the schedule for yet another tour by the Indian cricket team has been released. The Indian squad is set to tour Zimbabwe in July,where a T20 series will take place. Team India will play a three-match T20 series hosted by Zimbabwe.
On Wednesday,the BCCI officially released the complete schedule for India’s tour of Zimbabwe. According to the schedule,the three-match T20 series will be played between July 23 and July 26. The Indian team will undoubtedly have its sights firmly set on winning this series.
All players of the Indian team are currently occupied with the Indian Premier League. Following this,they will barely have a moment to catch their breath,as Team India is slated to play a continuous succession of international series once the league concludes.
Find Out When and Where the Matches Will Be Held
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the schedule for all three T20 matches on Wednesday. The first T20 match between India and Zimbabwe will be played on July 23 at the stadium in Harare. The second T20 encounter will take place on July 25,also in Harare. The third match is scheduled to be played at the very same stadium on July 26.
The Indian team will be determined to win the series against Zimbabwe at all costs. Notably,under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav,the Indian team has delivered stellar performances at the international T20 level. Just a few days ago,India made history by winning the ICC T20 World Cup.
Third Tour in Four Years
Looking back at the past four years,this marks the third time the Indian team will be touring Zimbabwe. Before this,the Indian team played a three-match ODI series in 2022. Subsequently,in 2024,India played a five-match T20 series hosted by Zimbabwe. A few months after the T20 series in July,an ODI series is also scheduled to take place; this ODI series will be hosted by India.

As soon as the Indian Premier League concludes,the Indian team will embark on its touring schedule. First,they are set to play a Test and ODI series against Afghanistan. However,India will be hosting these series. One Test match and three ODIs will be played between the two sides.
Following this,the team will head to England,where they will play a series comprising three ODIs and an equal number of T20 matches. During this same tour,the Indian team will also visit Ireland to play a T20 series,after which the team will fly to Zimbabwe.
