Samsung has confirmed a new Flex Titanium display architecture for its upcoming foldable series.
This technology utilizes two new titanium-based layers beneath the OLED display: a Titanium Alloy Film and a Titanium Support Plate. The company claims the Titanium Alloy Film is 20 times stronger than standard polymer film, yet 30% thinner than a human hair.
It reduces pressure on the display and significantly minimizes the crease even after repeated folding. The Titanium Support Plate reduces the air gap between the display and the support structure, providing more uniform support to the screen. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026.
According to leaks, these phones may feature larger batteries along with 45W wired and 20W wireless charging capabilities.
