Royal Enfield Classic 350: Royal Enfield has launched the new Gorkha Edition of its popular Classic 350, presenting it in a unique style. It is priced at ₹2,10,684, and bookings for the new bike are already open. Notably, dismissing it merely as a Classic 350 with a new colour would be an understatement, as the company has endeavoured to link its design to the legacy of the Gorkha Regiment. Royal Enfield has introduced the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition with a distinctive military-inspired look. The new bike features ‘Gorkha Green’ paint, a ‘Crossed Khukri’ badge, and enhanced features.
Design
The defining feature of this edition is its ‘Gorkha Green’ paint finish, complemented by a special ‘Crossed Khukri’ insignia that reflects the traditions of the Gorkha Regiment. Along with the new colourway, chrome detailing and wire-spoke wheels have been retained, ensuring its visual character remains closely aligned with the standard Classic 350. The Gorkha insignia serves as the primary visual identifier, directly linking the bike to its military inspiration.
Engine and Performance
The powertrain features Royal Enfield’s familiar 349cc J-series single-cylinder engine, producing a maximum of 20.2 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and includes an assist-and-slipper clutch, ensuring a smoother riding experience. Additionally, a Type-C USB fast-charging port is a key feature of this update, proving highly beneficial for today’s smartphone-savvy riders.
Riding Experience
The Classic 350’s signature upright riding position and familiar chassis layout remain in this Gorkha Edition. In other words, if you enjoy the Classic 350’s riding style, this edition won’t alter it; instead, it simply adds a distinctive new identity.
Gorkha Collection
Alongside the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has launched a complete ‘Gorkha Collection.’ This range features riding gear and lifestyle products inspired by the regiment—such as dual-certified Jet and Quest helmets, high-ankle distressed leather boots, multi-functional headgear, apparel, and collectables.
The collection incorporates colours like Regimental Crimson, Olive Green, Matte Black, and Warm Bronze. Key design elements include crossed khukri motifs, military-inspired insignia, embroidered badges, heavyweight cotton twill, and distressed leather.
